$708,400
The total project cost is estimated at $2,371,000 for the construction of the El Camino Real Potable
Water System Projects. It is estimated that additional funds of $480,675 from the Water Connection
fund and $227,725 from the Water Replacement fund are required to complete the project.
Sufficient funds are available for additional appropriations.
On June 20, 2006, through Agenda Bill No. 617, the Board of Directors considered three options for
the Project because staff estimated that an appropriation increase in the amount of $1,349,400 would
be needed for this project. The Board approved staffs recommendation to authorize the
advertisement for bids for the El Camino Real Potable Water System Projects and approve the
additional appropriations at the time of award. The total appropriation increase is now estimated at
$708,400, which is $641,000 less than estimated in Agenda Bill No. 617.
