RECOMMENDED ACTION:
I
Continue with Council reorganization by election of one of its members as Mayor Pro Tempore
and by appointing members of the City Council as liaison/member/alternate to the various
committees.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Once Council Members have been seated following each General Municipal Election, part of
the Council's reorganization includes the Council Committee Assignments as detailed in Title 2,
Chapter 2.04 of the Municipal Code, Section 2.04.050. In addition, Council elects one of its
members as Mayor Pro Tempore as detailed in Title 2, Chapter 2.08, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code, Section 2.08.010.
Attached to this agenda bill is a list of the current Council committee assignments. This list
includes only those committee appointments, which are made by the Mayor. It does not
include those committees on which various Council Members serve as a result of their
appointments by other agencies.
