RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Ordinance No. NS-825 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code by the addition of Section 10.44.780 to establish a prima facie 35 mile per hour speed limit on Palomar Oaks Way from Palomar Airport Road to its northerly terminus. ITEM EXPLANATION: Ordinance No. NS-825 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on December 19, 2006. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted. NS- 825 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 3 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.44.780 TO ESTABLISH UPON 4 PALOMAR OAKS WAY A PRIMA FACIE 35 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT FROM PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD TO ITS 5 NORTHERLY TERMINUS. 6 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows: 7 SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended g by the addition of Section 10.44.780 to read as follows: 9 "10.44.780 Palomar Oaks Way.
