MAYOR APPROVAL OF ADJUSTMENT TO SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER DEPT. HEAD CITY ATTY. CITY MGR. adjusting the salary of the City Manager by 5.3% effective RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2007-169 January 1, 2007. ITEM EXPLANATION: Under the provisions of the existing Letter of Understanding, the salary of the City Manager is established by formula following a survey of the total compensation of City Managers within the County of San Diego. That survey has been completed and results in an adjustment of the salary of the City Manager of 5.3 %. FISCAL IMPACT: There was no adjustment to the salary of the City Manager based on the survey completed for 2006. There will be an adjustment of 5.3% per annum based on the survey for 2007. There are sufficient funds in the General Fund balance and the Finance Director is directed to appropriate the necessary funds to the City Manager's budget to support these costs. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: This amendment is statutorily exempt from CEQA pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21080(b)(1). EXHIBITS: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 11 2. That the salary of the City Manager shall be adjusted by 5.3% effective 13 January 1, 2007. 14 3.
