Over the course of time, the most critical intersections were initially retrofitted with these devices. This project retrofits the final 33 critical signalized intersections and will result in the equipping of all critical signalized intersections with these important safety improvements. Steiny and Company, Inc., submitted the lowest responsive bid. Therefore, staff recommends the contract be awarded to Steiny and Company, Inc., the lowest responsive bidder, in the amount of $194,436. The contractor's registration and bonds are in order and references are satisfactory. Contract documents are on file in the General Services offices of Public Works.
