ESTABLISH A NO PARKING ZONE ON A

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-895 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.40.131, declaring a No Parking Zone on the southerly side
of Camino de Los Codies from Rancho Santa Fe Road to its intersection with Maverick Way.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-895 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
July 15, 2008. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

See Agenda Bill No. 19,516 on file in the Office of the City Clerk.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.40, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
4 ADDITION OF SECTION 10.40.131 TO DECLARE A NO PARKING
ZONE ON THE SOUTHERLY SIDE OF CAMINO DE LOS
5 COCHES FROM RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD TO ITS
INTERSECTION WITH MAVERICK WAY.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:

SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
8
by the addition of 10.40.131 to read as follows:
9 "10.40.131 Parking Restricted on Camino de los Coches.
There will be no parking on the southerly side of Camino de los
Coches from Rancho Santa Fe Road to its intersection with
Maverick Way."
12 EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; and
the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in
14 a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council on
the 15th day of July. 2008, and thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad on the 22^ day of July. 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
