CITY MGR. 5 I./L/ s? ^- (s£Z^ (AA- RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2009-025 accepting the work in accordance with the La Costa Canyon Restroom Renovation, Contract No. PKS 08-02 as complete and direct the City Clerk to have the Notice of Completion recorded and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances. ITEM EXPLANATION: On June 10, 2008, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2008-161, awarding Contract No. PKS 08-02, Design-Build Tenant Improvements to Renovate the Restroom at La Costa Canyon Park and authorized $20,000 in contingency funds. The construction phase of the project was completed on time and all outstanding items have been received. The renovated restroom facility has been inspected by staff and is acceptable to the Public Works Manager, General Services. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The approval of a Notice of Completion is a ministerial process and is exempt from the requirements of CEQA pursuant to Section 15268 of the State CEQA Guidelines. Change Orders for the project totaled $8,259 of the approved contingency total of $20,000. Change Orders included increasing the size of the main circuit panel to match the anticipated electrical loads, adding hose bibs in locking cabinets, modification of the roof flashing, removal and replacement of floor drains which contained lead, and modification of the skylights and security cages. That the above recitations are true and correct. 18 2.
