RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution Nos. 2009-183 _ , 2009-184 . and 2009-185
appointing three members to the Beach Preservation Committee.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of William Carroll expires in June 2009. Mr. Carroll was originally appointed in August
2001 . He was reappointed in June 2005. He has served eight years and eleven months.
The term of Richard Erhardt also expires in June 2009. Mr. Erhardt was appointed in
August 2001 to fill an unexpired term. Mr. Erhardt has served eight years and eleven
months.
The third appointment will fill the unexpired term of Commissioner William Gelfund, who was
appointed in 2006.
Copies of applications received in calendar year 2009 are on file in the Office of the City
Clerk.
Other members of the Beach Preservation Committee are: Ed Andrews, Matthew Huff,
Angela O'Hara and Matt Rocco.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15378,
this action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA and therefore, does
not require an environmental review.
