RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. CS-049 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code, by the addition of Section 10.28.950 to require stops on Davis Avenue (west) at its
intersection with Knowles Avenue.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. CS-049 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
August 11, 2009. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance which
will become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within
fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See Agenda Bill No. 19,933 on file in the Office of the City Clerk.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:

SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
7 by the addition of Section 10.28.950 to read as follows:

"10.28.950 Knowles Avenue. Drivers shall stop where the following
described street intersects Knowles Avenue:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE
STOPS ON DAVIS AVENUE (WEST) AT ITS INTERSECTION
WITH KNOWLES AVENUE.
Davis Avenue (west)."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; and
the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council on the 11th day of August, 2009, and thereafter
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad on the 18th day of August, 2009, by the following vote, to wit:
