RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution Nos. 2009-245 and 2009-246 appointing two
members to the Senior Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Commissioner Peggy Savary expired in September 2009. Ms. Savary was
originally appointed in November 2001, and was reappointed in September 2005. She has
served seven years and nine months.
The term of Commissioner Joan Surridge also expired in September 2009. Ms. Surridge was
originally appointed in July 2004 to fill an unexpired term, and was reappointed in September
2005. Ms. Surridge has served 4 years and two months.
The other members of the Senior Commission are: Anna Hopkins, Jack Nelson and Mike
O'Connell.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15378,
this action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA and therefore, does
not require an environmental review.
NOTE: Members of the Senior Commission are subject to the provisions of the Political
Reform Act, and must file Statements of Economic Interests.
