Asphalt Construction for construction of the College Boulevard Overlay Project No. 6001-10-OL.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The College Boulevard Overlay Project is part of the City's ongoing Pavement Management Program.
This rehabilitation project will extend the life of College Boulevard between Palomar Airport Road and
Faraday Avenue by applying a 2-inch layer of rubberized asphalt concrete. In addition, areas of
Avenida Encinas and El Camino Real which are severely cracked will be cold milled and patched with
asphalt concrete. The streets were selected based on their age and the existing condition of the
pavement surface.
On June 1, 2010, ten (10) sealed bids were received for the construction of this project as shown on
the following table. The engineer's estimate was $1,150,000.
