RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2011-155 , appointing one member to the Planning Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Commissioner Michael Schumacher expired in April 2011. Mr. Schumacher was
originally appointed to the Planning Commission in August 2009 to fill an unexpired term.
One appointment to the Planning Commission is needed.
Applications received for the Planning Commission are on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
NOTE: Members of the Planning Commission are subject to the provisions of the
Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines section 15738, this
action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA and therefore, does not
require additional environmental review.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO
THE PLANNING COMMISSION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
