RECOMMENDED ACTION:
To receive a presentation from staff regarding the Traffic Signal Program, Project No. 6320.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Staff will present an informational update on the current status of the Traffic Signal Program to
members of the Carlsbad City Council. The Traffic Signal Program is a project in the Capital
Improvement Program (CIP) to: a) link all of the traffic signals in the City of Carlsbad to the new
Transportation Management Center, b) upgrade equipment to improve traffic signal operations, and c)
develop new traffic signal timing plans to improve traffic flow along major transportation corridors.
