RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution _^amending the City's California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Employer Paid Member Contribution for police management safety employees. ITEM EXPLANATION: On December 13, 2011, representatives ofthe City and the Carlsbad Police Management Association (CPMA) reached an agreement regarding wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for represented employees, which included the following provision: • RETIREMENT: The Empioyer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC) associated with the CalPERS retirement benefit decreased from 8% to 3.5% for all employees represented by the CPMA effective December 26, 2011.
