RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2013-218 appointing one member to the Parks and Recreation
Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION;
The term of Commission Member Matt Simons expires in August 2013. Mr. Simons has expressed a desire
to be reappointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission.
One appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission is therefore required.
Other members ofthe Parks and Recreation Commission are Jim Craig, Leonard Martyns, Roy Meenes,
Jodi Rudick Stein, Diane Proulx and Ron Withall.
Applications received for ttie Parl<s and Recreation Commission ore on file in the Office ofthe City Clerk.
NOTE: Members of the Parks and Recreation Commission are subject to the provisions of the
Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065, this action does not constitute a "project" within the
meaning of CEQA in that it has no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment,
or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment, and therefore does not require
environmental review.
