APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR
CT 12-05 - LA COSTA RESIDENTIAL
RECOMMENDED ACTION;
That the Citv Council ADOPT Resolution No. 2013-239 APPROVING the Final Map for CT 12-05, La
Costa Residential generally located on the northwest corner of Paseo Lupino and Rancho Santa Fe Road
intersection.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Land Development Engineering staff has completed checking the final map of CT 12-05, known as La Costa
Residential. This subdivision is within Local Facilities Management Plan (LFMP) Zone 11 and is generally located
on the northwest corner of Paseo Lupino and Rancho Santa Fe Road intersection. The project proposes a total
of forty one lots. The subdivision is comprised of 32 single-family residential lots, 5 open space lots, 1 private
street lot, and 3 private drive lots. No further discretionary permits are required before building permits can be
issued for this development.
The final map conforms substantially with the tentative map as approved by Planning Commission on May 1,
2013, per PC Resolution No. 6967. The final map also conforms to the General Plan, all the applicable
requirements of the Municipal Code, City Standards, and Growth Management Plan. The property owner,
Taylor Morrison of California, LLC, a California limited liability company, is requesting the recordation of said
final map.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPAg;
The approval of a final map is a ministerial process and is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 19.040.070 A.l.a.
FISCAL IMPAa;
The property owner paid a plan check fee to cover the expense of plan checking and processing the final map
for recording. All other processing and development impact fees required to be paid prior to final map
approval have been paid. Additional processing and development impact fees will be paid, as required, if and
when building permits are issued for this project.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR CT 12-OJ, LA COSTA
RESIDENTIAL GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF
PASEO LUPINO AND RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD INTERSECTION
WHEREAS, Taylor Morrison of California, LLC, a California limited liability company has
submitted a final map known as CT 12-05, La Costa Residential, to the City of Carlsbad for approvdl; ?nH
WHEREAS, the tentative map of CT 12-05 with conditions, was approved by Planning
Commission on May 1, 2013 per PC Resolution No. 6967; and
^ WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that said map substantially conforms to
I ^ said conditionally approved tentative map; and
II WHEREAS, the conditions of approval for said final map have been completed or
12 secured; and
13 WHEREAS, the property owner has offered public easements for dedication to the City
14 of Carlsbad; and
15 WHEREAS, the final map conforms to the City of Carlsbad General Plan and all applicable
16 city codes and standards.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
18 California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
20 2. That said final map known as CT 12-05, La Costa Residential, which is on file with
21 the City Engineer and is incorporated herein by reference, is accepted.
3. That the City Clerk is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance on the
final map.
5. That the City Clerk is authorized to cause the original final map to be recorded in
the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of California.
6. That the City Clerk is authorized to release the final map to First American Title
for recording in the office ofthe County Recorder.
