CITY COUNCIL FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2014 CITY MGR.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2013-292 , approving the revised schedule of regular meetings of the City
Council during 2014.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At the City Council meeting held November 19, 2013, Council adopted Resolution No. 2013-264
approving the 2014 calendar of dates and locations for regular meetings. The City Clerk's Office
discovered that a revision made to the meeting dates in May and June was inadvertently not included
in the calendar approved by Resolution No. 2013-264. The revised calendar moves the May 27, 2014
meeting to June 3; 2014.
No additional changes to the calendar are required at this time. Special meetings can still be called as
needed by providing 24 hours notice before the time of such special meeting, and providing notice to
each local newspaper of general circulation and radio and television station that have requested notice
in writing or other means as required by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no significant fiscal impact as a result of adoption of this resolution.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
The adoption of the resolution establishing the schedule of regular meetings to be held by the Carlsbad
City Council for 2014 is not a project within the meaning of CEQA (Public Resources Code §21065).

RESOLUTION NO. 2013-292
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE REVISED CALENDAR OF THE DATE
AND LOCATION FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2014
WHEREAS, on November 19, 2013, Council adopted Resolution No. 2013-264 approving
its annual regular meeting schedule; and,
WHEREAS, revisions to the May and June City Council meetings were not included in the
approved calendar; and
WHEREAS, the revised 2014 schedule of regular meetings includes moving the meeting of
May 27 to June 3, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, the revised 2014 calendar for City Council regular meetings is attached as
Exhibit A to this resolution, and shall also be posted to the city's website.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council qf the City of Carlsbad, California
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the revised calendar for regular meetings of the City Council for 2014 shall be
as set forth on Exhibit A attached to this resolution.
