(65% very satisfied).95% Conclusions of residents feel that they are getting their money’s worth for their city tax dollars. 81% Conclusions of residents have confidence in Carlsbad city government to make decisions that positively affect the lives of community members.85% Conclusions 30 •2014 saw new highs across several general metrics –potential drivers include: •Quality of life is key •Handling of Poinsettia Fire & perceived competency of city government •Satisfaction with specific City services did not experience new highs (except public safety) and did not drive highs across general metrics Looking Forward in 2015 31 •What resident issues should be considered in 2015: •Managing growth and traffic as the regional economy improves •The village experience and whether perceptions improve or continue decline •Walking paths and trails and changing perceptions of need and satisfaction •Coastal improvements and balancing infrastructure investments vs. changing the character of Carlsbad’s Coastline December 2014
