•2014 saw new highs across several
general metrics –potential drivers
include:
•Quality of life is key
•Handling of Poinsettia Fire & perceived
competency of city government
•Satisfaction with specific City services
did not experience new highs (except
public safety) and did not drive highs
across general metrics
Looking Forward in 2015
31
•What resident issues should be
considered in 2015:
•Managing growth and traffic as the regional
economy improves
•The village experience and whether
perceptions improve or continue decline
•Walking paths and trails and changing
perceptions of need and satisfaction
•Coastal improvements and balancing
infrastructure investments vs. changing the
character of Carlsbad’s Coastline
