RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. Commission. 2015-044 _, appointing Alan Newman to the Housing ITEM EXPLANATION: Commission Member Brian Andrews resigned from the Housing Commission effective October 29, 2014. Mr. Andrews was appointed in July, 2011 to serve a four year term ending in July 2015. Other members of the Housing Commission are Emelda Bradwell, Susan Igoe, Craig Kirk and Bobbie Smith. Applications received for the Housing Commission are on file in the Office ofthe City Clerk. NOTE: Members of the Housing Commission are subject to the provisions of the Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065, this action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA in that it has no potential to cause wither a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment, and therefore does not require environmental review. Just too busy with new job, young kids with their busy schedules, and other life obligations. It was a terrific experience and I would like to consider serving the City again at a future date. HOUSING COMMISSION One Vacancy (City of Carlsbad This is a five member board appointed by the City Council. The composition shall be: two tenants assisted by the Carlsbad Housing Authority, one of which shall be at least sixty-two years of age. The remaining three members shall, to the extent possible, have experience and expertise within one or more of the following areas: development, construction, real estate, social services, housing advocacy, planning, architecture or finance. Members serve four year terms, except when filling an unexpired term. Requirements: Members must be Carlsbad residents and registered voters. Term: Present to July, 2015 (unexpired term).
