Adopt Ordinance No. CS-270, approving a specific plan amendment and Local Coastal Plan amendment to
modify the Car Country Specific Plan, and thereby accepting and administering the California Coastal
Commission's suggested modifications to LCPA 12-01, Case No. SP 19(J)/LCPA 12-01(A),
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. CS-270 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on March 24, 2015.
The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance. Notwithstanding the above, Ordinance
No. CS-270 shall not be effective until certified by the California Coastal Commission. The City Clerk will
have the ordinance or a summary of the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
See AB #21,907 on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
The city planner has determined that the proposed Specific Plan amendments are exempt from the provisions of
CEQA, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) (General Rule), where it can be seen with certainty that there
is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment. A Notice of Exemption
will be filed by the City Planner upon approval of the suggested modifications.
