DIRECTOlC^) DATE 5/19/15 APPOINTMENT CITY ATTY. M-Tf DEPT. CLERK APPOINTMENT CITY MGR. /te^" RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 2015-117 appointing Ervin Poka to the Traffic Safety Commission. ITEM EXPLANATION: Commissioner Hope Wrisley resigned from the Commission in February 2015. Ms. Wrisley was appointed in July 2011 to replace Commissioner Jack Gumming, for a term expiring in July 2012. She was subsequently reappointed in August 2012 for a term expiring in July 2016. One appointment to the Traffic Safety Commission is therefore required. Other members of the Traffic Safety Commission are: Mychal Dourson, Kathryn Fox, Chuck Hunter and Fred Muir. Applications received for the Traffic Safety Commission are on file in the Office of the City Clerk until the end of the calendar year. NOTE: Members of the Traffic Safety Commission are subject to the provisions of the Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065, this action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA in that it has no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment, and therefore does not require environmental review. WHEREAS, Commission Member Hope Wrisley resigned effective February 21, 2015, and WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on the Traffic Safety Commission, and 8 WHEREAS, Ms. Wrisley was appointed in July, 2011, replacing Commission Member Jack 9 Gumming for a term ending in July, 2012.
