CLERK APPOINT ONE MEMBER TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION RECOMMENDED ACTION: CITY MGR. Adopt Resolution No. ___ 2_0_1_5-....;;;2....;;;2.;_7 ___ appointing Patrick Goyarts to the Parks and Recreation Commission. ITEM EXPLANATION: The term of Commissioner Leonard Martyns expired in August, 2015. Mr. Martyns was appointed in August 2007 to replace Commissioner Leo Pecheco, and was reappointed in August 2011 for a term expiring in July 2015. Mr. Martyns is not eligible for reappointment because he has served two full terms. One appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission is therefore required. Other members of the Parks and Recreation Commission are: Jason Hansen, Roy Meenes, Diane Proulx, Matt Simons, Jodi Rudick Stein and Ron Withal!. Applications received for the Parks and Recreation Commission are on file in the Office of the City Clerk until the end of the calendar year. NOTE: Members of the Parks and Recreation Commission are subject to the provisions of the Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065, this action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA in that it has no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment, and therefore does not require environmental review.
