Council Goals through December 2017.
Regarding City Council Goals for 2018, staff will be prepared to discuss any proposed
amendments to current goals, or new goals that the City Council may wish to adopt. The staff
presentation and City Council discussion will be segmented to avoid any Council Member
conflicts of interest.
Next Steps
Upon receiving Council direction, staff will prepare a resolution for the City Council to formally
adopt the 2018 City Council Goals at the April workshop. Following adoption of the 2018 City
Council Goals, a detailed Council Goals Work Plan for FY 2018-19 will be developed and brought
to Council for adoption at the May workshop.
Fiscal Analysis
No city funding is being requested.
Environmental Evaluation (CEQA)
Adopting goals does not qualify as a "project" under the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15378, as it does not result in a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
Public Notification
This item was noticed in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act (California Government Code
Section 54950 et seq.), published and distributed at least 72 hours prior to the meeting date
and time.
