Adopt Resolution No. 700 accepting the painting of the exterior of (2) water storage reservoirs (Elm & Skyline Steel Tanks), authorization to file the Notice of Completion and to release the 10% retention funds at the close of a thirty-five day retention period.
I ITEM EXPLANATION
On August 21, 1990, the District signed a contract with XOIS Painting Company of San Pedro, California for $20,400.00 for the painting of the exterior of two water storage reservoirs (Elm 61 Skyline Steel Tanks).
The project involved exterior painting maintenance of water storage reservoirs required throughout the District. The painting of two water storage reservoirs, Elm & Skyline, was completed through this contract. The contractor, XIOS Painting Company has completed all work under the terms of their contractual agreement with the District, and the project is now ready for acceptance.
The entire project has been inspected and accepted by the staff and is now ready for formal acceptance by the Board.

FISCAL IMPACT
This painting project's original contract amount totaled $20,400.00. This project was completed without any change orders and, therefore, was completed for the original contract amount. The District holds $2,040.00 as a ten percent (10%) retention due and payable to the contractor thirty-five days following the filing of the Notice of Completion.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
Notice is hereby given that the project known as Painting the Exterior of (2) Water Storage Reservoirs (Elm and Skyline Steel Tanks) contracted with XIOS Painting Company has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and has been accepted by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District on the qh day of &A , 19k.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ACCEPTING PAINTING OF THE EXTERIOR OF (2) WATER STORAGE RESERVOIRS (ELM AND SKYLINE STEEL TANKS) - CMWD PROJECT NO. 90-l-105
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District has determined that XIOS Fainting Company has
completed the subject project in accordance with the plans,
specifications and terms of the contract document; and
WHEREAS, the District Engineer has recommended that the
Bqard of Directors accept the painting of the exterior of two (2)
water storage reservoirs (Elm and Skyline Steel Tanks) by XIOS
Painting Company, authorize the Secretary to file a "Notice of
Completion", and authorize the General Manager to release the
final retention of $2,040.00.

Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
