District Secretary to advertise for bids for the Gateway Road and Innovation Way Recycled Water
Pipelines, Project No. 5202.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Gateway Road and Innovation Way Recycled Water Pipelines Project will consist of constructing
approximately 2,300 linear feet of 8-inch diameter PVC pipe to allow for conversion of existing
recycled water pipelines from the interim supply of potable water to the permanent recycled water
supply. The additional pipelines will also allow for complete utilization of the recycled water 660
pressure zone system. The pipelines will be constructed using traditional open cut narrow trench
excavation. Traffic lane closures will be limited to between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. All pavement areas
will be restored to existing conditions. The work is located within the existing streets, and adjacent
properties are industrial zoned parcels.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
This project is categorically exempt from the environmental review process under Section
15282(k) of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Total appropriations are $675,000 from Reclaimed Water Funds and $410,000 from Water
Replacement Funds. Table 1 shows the current status of the Gateway Road and Innovation Way
Recycled Water Pipelines Project:
