ITEM EXPLANATION:
on June 28, 1988, the City Council considered the proposed
acquisition of the Sherman Property adjacent to the existing Alta
Mira Park Site. After discussion, the City Council appointed the
City Manager or his designee as the negotiator to talk to the owner
and their representative regarding acquisition. To date,
environmental review of the property has been performed to
determine the suitability of the property for park purposes and a
real estate appraisal has determined the current value of the
existing property. Negotiations to acquire this parcel for park
purposes are continuing.
