RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If the Commission concurs with the volleyball training center proposal your
action is to direct staff to explore the possibility of incorporating the Jj
'center into one of the future park areas.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Taras Liskevych, the head coach for the USA Women's National Volleyball Team,
will make a presentation regarding a proposal to build a volleyball training:
and fitness center, to be determined park site in Carlsbad.
Mr. Liskevych has indicated funds for constructing the training facility would
be generated through the private sector and that the preliminary plans
indicate 3-5 acres of land would be necessary to house the various buildings.
He further states that use of the facility can be made to the City on a
predetermined scheduled basis.

Zone 19 (Aviara)
Alga
Macario
