RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive donation of seven hundred ($700) dollars from the
Southern California Tennis Association and recommend
acceptance by the City Council.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TENNIS ASSOCIATION
A donation of $700 was recently received from the Southern Cali-
fornia Tennis Association Junior Development Program for the
Recreation Division Youth Tennis Daycamp held June 26-30, 1989
at the the La Costa Hotel and Spa. The daycamp is a free program,
supported by community donations. The donation has been deposited
in account #880-519-9210-000.
A representative of the Los Angeles based Southern California
Tennis Association will not be able to present the check to the
City at the next Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. However,
if necessary, I will be able to attend the next meeting and
discuss the details with the commission. A letter of appreciation
will be sent to the Tennis Association on behalf of the Parks
and Recreation Department.
