RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept and file staff update on the status of the sculpture park.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
During the April meeting, staff was directed to provide an update on the
status of the sculpture park on Ocean Street.
It is anticipated that this issue will go before the City Council by the end
of May 1990. The recommendation will be for Council to direct staff to send
the project out to bid. Preliminary staff estimates anticipate the actual
construction of the sculpture to begin by late August with a completion date
approximately four (4) months later or early 1991.
The amenities to be included in the development will be:
Reflective pool
Landscape areas
Waikways
Trellises
Benches
Fencing
Lighting
