RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Direct the Parks and Recreation Commission Chairperson to address the Mayor of Carlsbad
in consideration for the appointment of a City Council liaison to the Olivenhain Municipal
Water District regarding development of the Mt. Israel Park.
ITEM EXPLANATION;
The Olivenhain Municipal Water District, during a recent board meeting, discussed issues
relating to the development of Mt. Israel Park. Commissioner Castner, who was appointed
as the Parks and Recreation Commission liaison to the Water District regarding
development of Mt. Israel Park, was in attendance at the meeting. Commissioner Castner
feels that it would be beneficial to have a City Council member to act as liaison to assist in
addressing issues related to Mt. Israel Park with the Olivenhain Municipal Water District.
