PUBLIC ART FOR LARWIN PARK
As you know, $25,000 is appropriated in the CIP for public art at Larwin Park. I have met
several times with Mark Steyaert to discuss the project. Artist Christine Oatman is
interested in working on the project.
The Arts Commission will be asked to approve the selection of this artist at its January
meeting. A committee will then be formed to work with the artist on the project. The
committee will consist of an Arts Commissioner, a Parks and Recreation Commissioner,
and two members of the adjacent community to the park. Would you please place the
item on your January Commission meeting agenda asking the Commission to select a
representative to serve on the public art committee.
Thank you.
