RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive a twelve hundred ($1200) dollar donation from the Herrick Corporation and
recommend acceptance by the City Council.
ITEM EXPLANATION;
The Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department has received a twelve hundred
($1200) dollar donation from the Herrick Corporation, owners of Capital Bank of
Carlsbad and Raintree Grill and Bar in support of the Annual Spring Egg Hunt on
March 30, 1991. The funds will be used to purchase candy and prizes for all
participants. Approximately 1,000 youngsters are expected to attend the event which
will be held at both Stagecoach and Calavera Hills Community Parks.
The Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended acceptance of these funds
by the City Council. A letter of appreciation will be sent on behalf of the Parks and
Recreation Department.
FISCAL IMPACT;
Funds in the amount of twelve hundred ($1200) dollars will be deposited in Recreation
Special Events account #880-519-9210-0000.
