TITLE: ELECTION OF PARK AND
RECREATION COMMISSION
OFFICERS (ACTION)
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Nominate and elect chairperson and vice-chairperson of the Parks and Recreation
Commission for the remainder of the 1992 calendar year.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Although elections for the aforementioned officers were recently held, with the
unanticipated resignation of the current chairperson, the vice-chairperson suggested
that new elections be held in light of the remainder of time to be served in office (11
months).
Nominations for chairperson will be called for first, and then voted upon. Secondly,
nominations for vice-chair will be taken, and voted upon.
The duties of office will take effect immediately following the election results.
