Harding Community Center is proud to announce the most recent winners of the part- time employee of the quarter. During the period of April-June, Andy Meade, the Adult Sports Assistant Coordinator was the Recreation Section's winner. Andy is an integral part of the Adult Sports Section, assisting Doug Landin in every facet of Adult Sports League management. 11 During the period of July-September, we are proud to announce dual winners. They are Rosemary Cruger and Kathy Kairdolf. Both Kathy and Rosemary serve as the department's word process operators. Their value to the department goes well beyond their titles. In addition to doing all word processing and most of the section's typing, Rosemary and Kathy help coordinate much of the brochure material, assist with the creation of department flyers, and thankfully help staff with proper grammar in memos and other official paperwork. Kudos to all 3 fine staff members receiving awards. The Xeriscape project is nearing final design plans. It is expected the project will go to bid shortly. Alta Mira Park plans recently went before the Planning Commission for approval of the Conditional Use Permit. After Commission discussion and review, the C.U.P. gained approval. Final vote by the Commission set the time at 10 p.m. Following the external and internal painting that Harding Community Center underwent last month, an upgrade of the facility plumbing is underway this month.
