CONSENT CALENDAR
The following items were unanimously approved by the Commission (7-0)
1. AB #1292-1 DIRECTOR'S REPORT - December 1992
2. AB #1292-2 SUMMARY REPORT - The October Parks and Recreation
Commission meeting.
3. AB #1292-3 RECEIPT OF DONATION - Receipt of $200 donation in appreciation
of Departmental support of the San Diegurto Youth Winter Baseball season.
Recommend acceptance by City Manager.
PUBLIC HEARINGS: NONE
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
4. AB #1292-4 APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEE - Commission members Castner.
Heineman and Strayer were appointed to a committee assisting staff with further
processing of the Northwest Quadrant Park Enhancement Report.
(7-0).
5. AB #1292-5 NAMING OF PARK SITE - By a 5-2, vote the Commission
recommended the future park site at Alta Mira be named "Poinsettia Community
Park". Recommendations to consider changing the street name of Poinsettia Lane
to "Poinsettia Parkway" and Hidden Valley Road to "Hidden Valley Parkway" will be
forthcoming pending further Commission and staff review.

6. AB #1292-6 ANNUAL ELECTION OF PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMISSION OFFICERS - David Castner was re-elected as Chairperson and
Courtney Heineman was elected as Vice Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation
Commission for 1993.
