is busy educating herself and being trained for an early September start-up. The new
press offers many new options including the printing of envelopes and letterhead and
utilizing gloss stock paper!
Aquatics
The Aquatics Center has just completed one of their busiest summers to date.
Though statistics are not yet available, it's quite apparent the demand for swim
lessons is an all time high.
Carl Pope reports a "Volunteer Recognition Day" was staged on August 24 for all the
summer volunteers who assisted with lessons. Pizza and refreshments and pool
activities highlighted the day.
In anticipation of a busy fall, repairs to the pool's shell and fiberglass lining have just
been completed. Other maintenance was completed as well so that service will
continue uninterrupted throughout the fall.
The Carlsbad High School Water Polo Team will host a North County Tournament

Staff's version of "Kidz Camp" that included excursions, games and crafts has just
concluded and reviews point to a "wildly" successful two weeks for the youngsters.
