COMMISSION MEETING - SEPTEMBER 18, 1995
Consent Calendar
The following items were unanimously approved by the Commission (6-0).
1. AB #995-1 Director's Report - September 1995
2. AB #995-2 Summary Report - July 17, 1995 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting.
3. AB #995-3 Receipt of Donations - The Commission received a total of $34,775 in product
and services supporting the 1995 Triathlon and recommended acceptance by the City
Council.
Departmental Reports
4. AB #995-4 - Citizen Request/Lawn Bowling Facility - The Commission considered a request
to establish a lawn bowling facility at Magee Park and directed staff to analyze the request
in further detail and return to the Commission for action at a later date (6-0). It is anticipated
the item will return in 30-60 days.
5. AB #995-5 -1995 State of the City - The Commission viewed the annual State of the City
video production.
6. AB #995-6 - Youth Golf Clinic - Request for Commission Support - The Commission
unanimously endorsed Commissioner Holmes' request to address community organizations
in support of the Youth Golf Clinic. Commissioners were encouraged to contact Mr. Holmes
if they wished to further support the endorsement of the clinic to various organizations.
The Commission adjourned to the Hosp Grove Special Use area currently under construction to
view the park development progress.
