EXHIBITS: 1. Summary Report 014 October 26, 1995 TO: MAYOR LEWIS MAYOR PRO-TEM NYGAARD CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: Community Services Director SUMMARY REPORT OF PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING 10/16/95 CONSENT CALENDAR: The following items were unanimously approved by the Commission (7-0) 1. AB #1095-1 DIRECTOR'S REPORT - October 1995 2. AB #1095-2 SUMMARY REPORT - September 18, 1995, Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. 3. AB #1095-3 RECEIPT OF DONATION - The Commission recommended acceptance of a donation totaling $200 from the La Costa Youth Organization. 4. AB #1095-4 RECEIPT OF DONATION - The Commission recommended acceptance of a donation totaling $100 from the Del Mar Fair Board. 5. AB #1095-5 RECEIPT OF DONATION - The Commission recommended acceptance of $7,645 in product, services and money in support of the Bodysurfing Contest and Youth Tennis Camp. PUBLIC HEARINGS: 6. AB #1095-6 LAWN BOWLING REQUEST/MAGEE PARK - The Commission unanimously (7-0) denied a request to develop a Lawn Bowling facility at Magee Park. Staff was further directed to consider other appropriate locations which may allow a Lawn Bowling facility being provided prior to the Larwin Park Development. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS: 7. AB #2095-7 HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION REQUEST/HOSP GROVE The Parks and Recreation Commission unanimously endorsed the concept of placing an interpretive sign/plaque within the newly developed 5.5 acre Hosp Grove Special Use Area. 015 8. AB #1095-8 COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS Parks and Recreation Commission Committee assignments through 1996 were made and unanimously (7-0) endorsed. 9. AB #1095-9 COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT Commissioner's Heineman and Davidson were appointed to the Carrillo Ranch Park Development Planning Committee for the Carrillo Ranch. Commissioner Schulberg was appointed as the alternate.
