CA 92008 Dear Mr. Beverly: The Carlsbad Watershed Network (CWN) has created a volunteer trail team to construct and maintain trails throughout the watershed. The pilot project for the trail team is underway in Hosp Grove. We anticipate the trail will be completed by the end of April. The Carlsbad Junior Women's league has donated $300 for the installation of a bench and plaque on the trail. Gary Hill, trail project coordinator, has selected a site for the bench. We are working with Doug Duncanson for the appropriate standards for installation. The bench will be installed as Boy Scout project or alternatively by the trail team. - I am writing today to request permission to install the bench in Hosp Grove. I understand the commission will meet in March. Since we would like to have the trail and bench project completed by April 24 (California Trail Day), I would appreciate your attention to your request. Sincerely, cc: Steve Jantz, City Planning EXHIBIT 1 CWN b a uralition o( baa0 nonproRt group: Agru Hsdionda Lagoon Foundation, Batiquito. Lagoon Foundacm. Bwru v*t. Lagoon Foundation.
