AB# 400-1 COMMISSIONERS REPORT - The Commission accepted and filed the Commissioners Report for April 2000 2. AB# 400-2 RECEIPT OF DONATION - The Commission received donations of $600 in support of the Summer Day Camp Booklets ” DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS 3. AB# 400-3 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION ELEMENT RELATING TO THE SAFETY CENTER PHASE I1 PROJECT - The Commission unanimously recommended the approval of the General Plan Amendment to the Parks and Recreation Element to include elimination of the Safety Center Ballfields, addition of the Carlsbad Skate Park and acknowledgment of the future acquisition of 10 - 15 acres for park development in the Northeast Quadrant, primarily for active recreation amenities, i.e. Soccer, Baseball/Softball fields. 4. AB# 400-4 ZONE 5 RECREATIONAL PARKSITE UPDATE - Staff updated the Commission regarding a recent Committee Formed to address the issue of development of the Zone 5 Parksite. 5. AB# 400-5 FY 2000-01 DEPARTMENT BUDGET PRESENTATION - Staff presented the FY 2000-01 Parks and Recreation Operating and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget for endorsement by the Commission.
