Accept nominations and elect Vice Chairperson for the remainder of the calendar year 2000.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
With the vacancy of Julie Baker from the Parks and Recreation Commission, the board has been
without a Vice Chairperson for several months. It was the desire of the Commission to wait for
the appointment of a new Commissioner before electing a replacement Vice Chairperson. During
the August 15, 2000 Council meeting, one (1) Commissioner (Ramirez) was appointed to fill
Bakers vacant position and Commissioners Cummingham and Schulberg were reappointed to
four-year terms.
Once nominations are made and accepted, the Commission may vote to fill the vacant Vice Chair
position for the remainder of the calendar year.
