MEETING
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. AB # 1000-1 COMMISSIONER'S REPORT - The Commission unanimously accepted the
Commissioner's Report for September 2000.
2. AB # 1000-2 SUMMARY REPORT - To approve, accept and file the Summary Report of the
August 2000 Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting.
3. AB # 1000-3 ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION - The Commission received a donation of a set
of chaps and gloves for the Carrillo Ranch Archive Collection.
4. AB # 10004 TRIATHLON DONATION - The Commission received donations of $37,379
cash, product and in kind services for the 2000 Carlsbad Triathlon and recommended
acceptance by the City Council.

5. AB # 1000-5 AN AUDIO VISUAL INTRODUCTION TO THE CARRILLO RANCH
The Commission received a presentation from Mr. Alan Kindle, President of the Friends of
Carrillo Ranch, sharing the history of Carrillo Ranch and the life of Leo Carrillo.

6. AB # 1000-6 CARRILLO RANCH PHASE II DEVELOPMENT UPDATE - The Commission
received a staff report from Park Development Coordinator, Mark Steyaert outlining the
progress of Phase II of Carrillo Ranch Park.
7. AB # 1000-7 DOG PARK DEVELOPMENT UPDATE - Staff gave an update on the status of
the Dog Park and indicated that the City Council approved the ordinance change which was
required for the Dog Park and the Planning Department has begun the CUP process.
