1 RECOMMENDED ACTION :
~ Receive individual donations of Four Hundred Twenty Five Dollars Cash ($425) in support of the
Opportunity Grants Scholarship Program and recommend acceptance by the City Council.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
The Carlsbad Recreation Department has been provided a cash donation totaling Four Hundred
Twenty Five Dollars Cash ($425). The following organization offered the donation in support of the
listed program:
Carlsbad Youth Baseball Opportunity Grants (cash) $425
The Recreation opportunity grants program gives youths who cannot normally afford to participate
an opportunity to experience a wide variety of City sponsored recreation programs. Donated funds
help pay for the youth scholarships.
I FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of Four Hundred Twenty Five Dollars Cash ($425) have been deposited into
the scholarship account # 140-4515-5650. All donations offset the cost to the City in providing
scholarships.
