RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Receive individual donations of Five Hundred Dollars Cash ($500) in support of the Opportunity
Grants Scholarship Program and recommend acceptance by the City Council.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
The Carlsbad Recreation Department has been provided a cash donation totaling Five Hundred
Dollars ($500). The following individual offered the donation in support of the listed program:
Amy Kraft Opportunity Grants (cash) $500
The Recreation Opportunity Grants Program gives youths who cannot normally afford to
participate, an opportunity to experience a wide variety of City sponsored recreation programs.
Donated funds help pay for the youth scholarships.
FISCAL IMPACT :
Funds in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars Cash ($500) have been deposited into the
scholarship account # 140-451 5-5650. All donations offset the cost to the City in providing
scholarships.
