RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Identify items for discussi6n as part of a future Parks and Recreation Commission Workshop.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
During the March commission meeting, staff requested commission members to consider any
items of interest, items requiring further clarification or any other issues which would be of benefit
to the commission or staff to discuss in the context of a Commission Workshop setting. This
information would be of benefit to staff in preparing an agenda for items of discussion for a future
workshop. The date for the workshop has not yet been determined. However, staff would target
a future Commission meeting date where other items requiring action of the Commission are not
required. Historically, a summer month would provide that opportunity. This time frame would
also allow staff adequate time to arrange and schedule any necessary speakers or staff
presentations.
One area of interest to the staff would be the format which agenda items are presented to the
Commissioners, is it working? Can it be improved? Would a different format work better? Etc.
Staff will record areas of interest to the Commission for future discussion during the workshop.
