ITEM EXPLANATION : The volunteer Carrillo Ranch Curator, Joan Kindle, has received a donation of Leo Carrillo’s personal book collection (Exhibit 1). This donation was made possible by Elizabeth Wiegand of Carlsbad and will be added to the Carrillo Archival Collection for future display at the Ranch. A letter of appreciation has been sent to Ms. Wiegand thanking her for this donation.(Exhibit 2) EXHIBITS: 1. Letter to Elizabeth Wiegand - August 2002. 2. Inscription: “With loving regards for our little wife Dedie (sic) from her aged but still fat admirer, Irvin S. Cobb. February, 194 1 .” The Criminal Code, a play by Martin Flavin (1 929).
