RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Receive donation and recommend acceptance by City Manager.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
The volunteer Carrillo Ranch Curator, Joan Kindle, has graciously offered to donate two (2)
hand-made colorful patchwork afghans, replicas of similar coverlets likely to have been knitted by
Deedie Carrillo and used in hers and Leo's home. Since the original coverlets will most likely
never be retrieved, it would be appropriate to place both afghans on display with the Leo Carrillo
furniture, previously donated to the City in February, 2002.
The afghans will be added to the Carrillo Collection for future display at the Ranch.

donation of the two (2) handmade afghans, which you so kindly took the time
to make for the Carrillo Ranch collection. Your donation is greatly
appreciated and will certainly add to the historical portrayal of Leo’s life at
home, to the many visitors who will tour the Ranch.
