RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Establish agenda items for the October 25in Parks and Recreation Commission Workshop.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
During last months meeting, the date of the Parks and Recreation Commission Workshop was
decided to be held on October 25, 2003. The Workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. and it is
anticipated to end about 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.
The selection of workshop agenda items was deferred last month and requested to be placed on
the September PRC Agenda.
Listed below are potential agenda items for consideration, they include, but are not limited to the
following topics:
Park Inventory Update
Effective Meeting Procedures
Holiday Dinner Venue
Public Works Service Plan
Standards of Care (Public Works)
Departmental / Individual Goals for Management Staff
Recreation Programming
Strategic Plan Update
Citywide Trails Program -Acquisition, Development and Maintenance
Citywide Survey Results for Parks and Recreation
Maintenance of City Owned Easements, Medians, Open Space, Etc.
When determining the agenda items, please keep in mind that the workshop hours are limited.
Consequently, the amount of agenda items may need to be restricted and focused to allow
adequate time for discussion. Please consider agenda items for the workshop so that an agenda
