SUMMARY REPORT OF THE DECEMBERR 15, 2003 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING
CONSENT CALENDAR
The following consent items were unanimously approved.
1. AB #1203-1 RECEIPT OF DONATION - $2,000 from the Carlsbad Christmas Bureau for a tot-lot in the
Northwest Quadrant Community Park.
2. AB #1203-2 RECEIPT OF DONATION - $1,000 in cash (Toyota/Lexus Carlsbad, Hoehn Honda - $500 each) and
$1,890 in products to support the Youth Sports Program.
3. AB #1203-3 RECEIPT OF DONATION - $800 from ALL Points Media (7-Up & Disney X Games) in support of the
Opportunity Grants Scholarship Fund.
4. AB #1203-4 RECEIPT OF DONATION - $721.50 from individual donations made during program registration
(winter/spring brochures) in support of the Opportunity Grants Scholarship Fund.
5. AB #1203-5 RECEIPT OF DONATION - $620 from individual donations made during program registration
(summer brochure) in support of the Opportunity Grants Scholarship Fund.
6. AB #1203-6 SUMMARY REPORT - September 15, 2003 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
7. AB #1203-7 STATUS OF ROSALENA TRAIL REALIGNENT - The Commission received an informational
update regarding the status of the Rosalena Trail Segment in the Southwest Quadrant immediately adjacent to
the Batiquitos Lagoon.
8. AB #1203-8 MEMORIAL DEDICATION POLICY - This item has been deferred until a future date.
9. AB #1203-9 RESCHEDULE JANUARY COMMISSION MEETING - The Parks and Recreation Commission
meeting for January has been rescheduled to January 7, 2004 due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday
observance.
10. AB #1203-10 ELECTION OF COMMISSION OFFICERS FOR 2004 - Commissioner Jim Comstock was elected
Chair Person-and Leo Pacheco was elected Vice Chair Person.
