Summary Report - March 21,2005 March 29,2005 PRC FILE TO: MAYOR LEWIS MAYOR PRO TEM HALL CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS KULCHIN, PACKARD, SIGAFOOSE FROM: SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST SUMMARY REPORT OF THE MARCH 21, 2005 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION M EETl NG CONSENT CALENDAR - The following consent items were unanimously approved 6-0 I. AB #305-1 SUMMARY REPORT - The Commission unanimously accepted and approved the Summary Report of the January 12, 2005 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. 2. AB #305-2 RECEIPT OF DONATION - The Commission received a donation of $2600 in support of the youth basketball program. 3. AB #305-3 RECEIPT OF DONATIONS - The Commission received a donation of $350 on behalf of Frank Mannen’s retirement towards the Recreation Opportunity Grants program from the Leadership Team. 4. AB #305-4 RECEIPT OF DONATIONS - The Commission received a donation of $500 for the Oceanside Elks Lodge in support of the Sportsmanship T.R.U.S.T. program. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS 5. AB #305-5 EAGLE SCOUT TRAIL PROJECT - The Commission acknowledged an individual volunteer effort in conjunction with a trail development project. 6. AB #305-6 RECREATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDED FACILITY FEE INCREASES AND PROPOSED NEW FEES FOR FY 2005-06 - The Commission unanimously voted 5-0 (with one abstention) to endorse the proposed fee increases and recommended approval by the City Council. 7. AB #305-7 LEO CARRILLO RANCH HISTORIC PARK BARN STABlLlZATlON/RESTORATION PROJECT AND GRANT APPLICATION - The ~ Commission unanimously (6-0) endorsed a matching funds grant request of $197,535 for stabilization work for the bardtheater structure at Carrillo Ranch and recommended approval by the City Council.
